The possibility
Before asking for a plan, decide what matters most this week — and what “good enough” means for each item.
Planning tools fail when every task is treated as equally important. Ranking first means the assistant can make honest trade-offs later.
- Rank, don’t list
- Put items in order. If two tie, ask which one you’d regret skipping.
- Define enough
- “Exercise twice” is clear. “Organize paperwork” needs a finish line: which papers, sorted how?
- Protect, don’t schedule
- Free evenings are a priority too. Treat them as fixed, not leftover.
